Korg has launched a virtual reality version of its online production studio, ‘Korg Gadget’.
The VR software, compatible with iOS, Mac, plugins, and the Nintendo Switch, offers an intuitive user interface and gadget instruments for efficient music production. When used with a compatible VR headset, users are transported to a virtual studio where they can control synths through hand gestures, create MIDI sequences, record external audio, and modulate sounds. Modelled after the Nintendo Switch version, the VR software presents a 360° environment with gadgets and synthesisers arranged around the player, providing a 3D interactive experience. The virtual studio includes six user-friendly instruments with advanced designs and accessible knobs and sliders. Currently, the programme is compatible with Meta Quest 2 and Rift S VR headsets, priced at £24.99.
