Coca-Cola, the world’s leading soft drink brand, is venturing further into the world of nonfungible tokens (NFTs) by debuting its inaugural collection on the Coinbase layer-2 network. This move was unveiled as part of Coinbase’s “Onchain Summer” event on August 13. The Coca-Cola collection, named the “Masterpiece” collection, showcases renowned artworks like Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” and contemporary creations from emerging artists, all intertwined with the iconic Coca-Cola bottle. This marks a notable step for a major consumer brand to embrace Base. In the same realm, upcoming digital collectible projects, including Zora, Pixelmon, Showtime, and Indelible, are also set to launch this month.
