Where the world of Metaverse becomes Real

Educational institutions are introducing Metaversities

The world of metaverse is pivoting in the field of education through metaversities. In a metaversity, instructors and students don virtual reality headsets and convene synchronously. A metaversity featuring VR classes has previously been tested as a proof-of-concept at Morehouse College. Professor Muhsinah Morris, head of Morehouse’s metaverse programme, says that through VR, students learn quickly “hard-to-grasp subject matter.” VictoryXR, a privately held technology company, has already launched metaversities at the University of Kansas School of Nursing, New Mexico State University, South Dakota State University, Florida A&M University, West Virginia University, the University of Maryland Global Campus, Southwestern Oregon Community College, Alabama A&M University, and California State University, Dominguez Hills. VictoryXR also provides the technology to Morehouse and Fisk. According to a McKinsey analysis, the commercial opportunity for the metaverse across all industries might reach billions of dollars. Universities may find pricing enticing if they want to launch their own courses or programmes in the metaverse.
