L’Oréal, Meta, and the French business school HEC Paris are collaborating to develop a startup acceleration programme focused on innovation in the metaverse. The initiative will provide funding to at least five firms that specialise in 3D production, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), or mixed reality, avatar development, portability in user experience, token economy, or other metaverse and Web3-related themes. It will be located in the Meta space of Station F in Paris’s 13th arrondissement. Applications are open until November 20th; in December, a jury of Meta, L’Oréal, and HEC members, as well as entrepreneurs and investors, will choose the firms; and the programme will run from January to June 2023. Successful applicants will be provided with mentorship and access to experts and investors.
