Moderate to strenuous physical exercise affects how pleasant faces can look

A recent study used virtual reality to show that moderate to strenuous effort affects how pleasant people’s looks are viewed.The authors of the study aimed to further our knowledge of how physical exercise affects affective valence, or the emotional tone of an event, thing, or circumstance. The results were published in the journal Psychology of Sport and Exercise. An indirect measurement of the emotive valence produced by physical exercise has been created by researchers. The HTC Vive Pro Eye virtual reality headset was put on the heads of the participants as they sat on an exercise bike. The most pleasant facial expressions were those that were happy, followed by neutral and furious expressions.
